Key Members of Our Team
Bruce Kerr
Born in 1967 in Rockhampton, and raised on his parent’s properties at Baralaba, Bruce attended Baralaba State School from Grade 1 through 10. He completed senior schooling at the Rockhampton Grammar School and commenced 10-years of mixed farming and grazing on the family farms.
A change to city life in the early nineties saw Bruce doing a 5-year full time double degree in Engineering (Mechanical) and Business (Marketing) at Central Queensland University. It was during this period that Bruce started Kerr IT Solutions, initially from the second bedroom in his student flat.
While operating as a one-man band for the formative years of his business, Bruce would not take on any customers that operated more than 3 computers. This attitude of not wading in beyond our depth of knowledge still exists, however there are very few areas of IT that we are now not familiar with.
Barney Kerr
Born in Melbourne, Australia in December 2017, Barney is a very intellectual and affectionate German Shorthaired Pointer with a zest for gaining pats from our walk-in customers. When not being mistaken for Bruce’s shadow he enjoys a prime spot on the reception lounge where he can keep one eye on the outside world while directing the flow of food stuffs within the shop.
Barney and Andie
Andie Kerr
Also born in Melbourne, Australia in January 2018, Andie’s focus is on stalking anything that moves that shouldn’t. She is most often spotted in stealth mode pointing at an innocuous ant, lizard, moth or bird. The highlight of Andie’s day is the pesky Australia Post 3-wheeled cart that must be barked at to prevent it from attacking our shop.
